Ingredients

For the Iced Tea
  • 4 cups water for boiling
  • 2 teabags green tea or loose-leaf
  • 2 medium peaches fresh or frozen
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root grated
  • 2-4 tablespoons honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
Optional Garnishes
  • 1 cup strawberries fresh, for garnish
  • 1 cup raspberries fresh, for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Pitcher
  • Stove

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by boiling 4 cups of water on the stove until it reaches a gentle boil, then remove from heat. Add loose-leaf green tea or tea bags, letting it steep for 1 to 5 minutes based on your strength preference.
  2. While the tea cools, grab a blender and add in your fresh or frozen peaches, along with finely grated ginger and honey or maple syrup. Blend on high until smooth, about 30 seconds.
  3. Once the green tea has cooled, pour it into the blender with the peach mixture. Blend briefly, about 15 seconds, to create a harmonious blend.
  4. Pour the blended tea into a large pitcher, cover it, and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
  5. When ready to serve, fill a tall glass with ice and stir the chilled tea before pouring it over the ice. Garnish with fresh strawberries or raspberries.
