Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Slice the extra-firm tofu into thin pieces, about ¼ inch thick, and press to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Marinate the tofu slices in the mixture for at least 30 minutes, covered.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat with oil, and cook the marinated tofu slices for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the tofu from the skillet and let it cool before serving in sandwiches or wraps.
