Step-by-Step Instructions
- Season both sides of salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and garlic powder or Italian seasoning. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon skin-side down, and sear for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 30-45 seconds.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, melt butter and add garlic and shallots. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Deglaze the skillet with white wine, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for about a minute.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in orzo pasta and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and lemon juice, simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Gently fold in seared salmon and spinach, allowing spinach to wilt for about 2-3 minutes.
- Plate the dish, garnishing with extra parmesan, lemon zest, and parsley.

Notes
Use salmon fillets of similar sizes for even cooking. Opt for fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
