Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Alternatively, use ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs For binding.
  • 1 large Egg For binding.
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder For flavor.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder For flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese For topping.
Subs
  • 4 pieces Sub Buns Any preferred type.
  • 1 cup Marinara Sauce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs bake, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and let simmer for a few minutes to absorb the flavors.
  7. Spoon meatballs and sauce into sub buns and top with shredded cheese. Place back in the oven for 5 minutes to melt the cheese.
