Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage for about 5-7 minutes until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease.
  3. Lower the heat and mix softened cream cheese into the skillet with the sausage until melted and blended.
  4. Spread thawed hashbrowns evenly across the bottom of the greased baking dish, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Spoon the creamy sausage and cream cheese mixture over the hashbrowns.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the sausage layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top.
  8. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and the egg is set.
