Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while you prepare the meatball mixture.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes until browned.
  4. While they bake, heat a skillet and add olive oil. Sauté sliced onions and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet; simmer. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the simmering gravy to thicken.
  6. In a pot, boil water and add potatoes and garlic. Cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
  7. Mash the potatoes with milk and butter. Season with salt and pepper. Mix in freshly chopped parsley.
  8. Transfer baked meatballs into gravy, toss gently to coat, and simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
