Ingredients
  

For the Drink
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries quartered
  • 2 oranges fresh orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup or maple syrup as alternative
  • 1 cup sparkling water or champagne
For Garnish
  • 1 sprig mint optional

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of grated fresh ginger, and 2 tablespoons of honey in a small saucepan. Heat on medium until simmering for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, let cool and strain the syrup.
  2. Wash and slice 1 cup of fresh strawberries and 2 oranges, cutting strawberries into quarters and peeling and segmenting the oranges.
  3. In a tall glass, pour 2-3 tablespoons of ginger syrup over ice. Add 1 cup of sparkling water or chilled champagne and stir gently.
  4. Mix in the chopped strawberries and orange segments, and garnish with a sprig of mint. Enjoy!
