Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine broken mini pretzels, melted unsalted butter, and 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until coated and spread on the baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip room temperature cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually add in the remaining sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Drain the crushed pineapple thoroughly and fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully integrated.
  6. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  7. Before serving, fold in the reserved pretzel clusters. Sprinkle additional pretzel pieces on top for garnish.
