Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish with butter.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, and eggs until just combined, about 1–2 minutes.
  4. Fold half of the maple syrup and the cooked sausage into the batter.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cooked sausage over the batter.
  7. Pour the remaining batter over the sausage layers.
  8. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving with extra maple syrup or fresh fruit.
