  • 1 prepared crust Chocolate Cookie Pie Crust
For the Filling
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix
  • 2 cups Cold Whole Milk Skim milk can be a substitute.
  • 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk Do not replace with evaporated milk.
  • 4 oz German’s Sweet Chocolate, Melted Semi-sweet can be used.
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping Like Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Sweetened Shredded Coconut Unsweetened can be used.
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans Can be omitted or substituted.
  • 1 cup Caramel Sauce Optional, for drizzling.
  • Chocolate Shavings or Extra Pecans Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Press the prepared chocolate cookie pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Melt 4 oz. of German’s Sweet Chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  3. Beat 8 oz. of cream cheese in a bowl for 2-3 minutes until fluffy. Gradually add 14 oz. of sweetened condensed milk, then fold in the melted chocolate and whipped topping.
  4. Pour the chocolate filling into the chilled crust and smooth the top. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours.
  5. Add toppings of shredded coconut and chopped pecans before serving, drizzling with caramel sauce and adding chocolate shavings if desired.
