  • 1 can Kidney Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Pinto Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes or substitute with crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 cup Corn frozen or canned, can be omitted
Spices
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until soft and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Transfer beef mixture to the slow cooker. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, corn, and all spices. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Adjust consistency by stirring in beef broth or water if a thinner chili is desired.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve hot with desired toppings.
