  • 24 ounces Marinara Sauce Store-bought or homemade
For the Cheese Mixture
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Can use sour cream as an alternative
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese Cottage cheese works as a substitute
  • ½ cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather your baking dish and ingredients.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, ricotta, Parmesan, garlic powder, and oregano until smooth.
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, add spaghetti, and cook for 6-7 minutes. Drain and keep warm.
  4. Brown Italian sausage with onion in a skillet for 5-7 minutes. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for an extra minute.
  5. Combine the sausage mixture with the spaghetti and marinara sauce, tossing until combined.
  6. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Add cheese mixture, then remaining spaghetti on top.
  7. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top of the casserole.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is golden.
  9. Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
