Preparation Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded romaine lettuce, diced cucumber, sliced red pepper, and mild pepper rings. Fold in the salami, provolone, marinated mozzarella balls, white onion, and pepperoni.
- Lightly toss the salad with freshly ground black pepper and dried basil. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together red wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder, additional dried basil, brown sugar, and kosher salt.
- Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad and gently toss to combine.
