Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly oil a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients and mix gently.
- Form 20-24 uniform meatballs and place them in the prepared dish.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
- While meatballs bake, boil salted water and cook spaghetti until just al dente.
- Toss drained spaghetti with olive oil.
- In a bowl, whisk together a second egg, parsley, mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepper.
- Combine spaghetti with the cheesy mixture until well coated.
- Spread spaghetti in the baking dish, top with meatballs and pour pasta sauce over.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
- Uncover, add remaining cheese, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
