Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • fine mesh sieve
  • Pitcher

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by chopping ripe peaches into small pieces, ensuring to remove the pits while keeping the skin on for added flavor.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine your chopped peaches, 2 cups of cold water, and sugar to taste. Heat until it reaches a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool down to room temperature for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer to the refrigerator to chill completely.
  4. Use a fine mesh sieve to strain the blend into a large bowl or pitcher. Press down gently on the pulp to extract as much liquid as possible.
  5. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and an additional 2 cups of cold water. Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  6. Serve by filling tall glasses with ice and pouring the chilled lemonade over the top. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and additional peach slices.
