Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Dandelion Infused Oil: Fill a glass jar halfway with wilted or dried dandelion flowers and pour in carrier oil to cover. Infuse with a double boiler on low heat for 2-3 hours or let sit for 4-6 weeks in a cool, dark spot.
  2. Strain Oil: Strain the infused oil using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the plant matter.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a saucepan, measure 3.5 ounces of infused oil and add 0.5 ounces of beeswax. Mix in tamanu oil if using.
  4. Heat and Mix: Gently heat the mixture over low heat, stirring until the beeswax melts and integrates with the oil.
  5. Cool and Store: Remove from heat, cool for 2-3 minutes, and pour into containers. Let set fully before securing lids.
