  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese Avoid powdered varieties for better melting.
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Best flavor for sautéing.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Essential for enhancing the dish.
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes Optional, adds a hint of spice.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  2. Lower the heat to medium, add more olive oil if necessary, and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute.
  3. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese gradually and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the tortellini for 3-4 minutes, adding the broccoli florets in the last 2-3 minutes. Drain the tortellini and broccoli.
  5. Add the drained tortellini and broccoli to the skillet with the sauce and sausage. Toss gently to coat.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan and black pepper.
