Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by measuring and preparing all your ingredients for the Dump and Go Crockpot Chili.
  2. Chop the onion finely to ensure even cooking, and drain and rinse the kidney beans under cold water.
  3. Gather the diced tomatoes, chili powder, minced garlic, and any optional bell peppers you wish to include.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the beef is browned and the onion is soft.
  3. Once done, drain any excess fat, and let cool briefly before moving to the next step.
  4. Transfer the browned beef and onion mixture to your crockpot; otherwise, place the raw ground beef directly into the pot.
  5. Add the rinsed kidney beans, canned diced tomatoes, and chili powder.
  6. Stir gently to ensure everything is well combined.
  7. Set your crockpot to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  8. Once cooked, ladle the piping hot chili into bowls and serve.
