Steps for Chicken Kofta with Garlic Yogurt Sauce
- Begin by prepping your ingredients. Slice the onion finely, mince the garlic cloves, and chop the fresh parsley.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, sliced onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and pepper.
- With wet hands, take portions of the chicken mixture and shape them into oval patties, approximately four inches long.
- Lightly oil your grill grates and preheat the grill to medium-high heat for about 5-10 minutes.
- Place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until nicely browned.
- In a bowl, mix the plain yogurt with freshly squeezed lemon juice and optional minced garlic for extra flavor.
- Once the kofta is grilled to perfection, serve on a platter with the garlic yogurt sauce drizzled on top.
