Steps for Chicken Kofta with Garlic Yogurt Sauce
  1. Begin by prepping your ingredients. Slice the onion finely, mince the garlic cloves, and chop the fresh parsley.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, sliced onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and pepper.
  3. With wet hands, take portions of the chicken mixture and shape them into oval patties, approximately four inches long.
  4. Lightly oil your grill grates and preheat the grill to medium-high heat for about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Place the kofta on the grill and cook for 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes until nicely browned.
  6. In a bowl, mix the plain yogurt with freshly squeezed lemon juice and optional minced garlic for extra flavor.
  7. Once the kofta is grilled to perfection, serve on a platter with the garlic yogurt sauce drizzled on top.
