  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder fresh minced garlic can also be used

For the Rice
  • 2 cups Rice (Optional) use white, brown, or jasmine rice, or swap for cauliflower rice

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, set over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until it sizzles for about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add 1 diced onion, 1 chopped green bell pepper, 1 chopped red bell pepper, and 1 sliced jalapeno to the skillet. Stir and cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  3. Introduce 1 pound of ground beef to the pan, breaking it apart. Cook for approximately 7-10 minutes, stirring frequently until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
  4. Carefully drain any excess fat from the skillet. Return the pan to medium heat.
  5. Stir in ¼ cup of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook together for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat and serve the beef mixture hot over your choice of rice or cauliflower rice.
