Preparation
- Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine water and granulated sugar over medium heat. Bring to a boil, whisking in cocoa powder until smooth. Cool.

- Step 8: Soak each layer with chocolate syrup, spread buttercream between layers.
- Step 9: Frost the assembled cake and decorate as desired.
- Step 10: Serve at room temperature and store leftovers in the fridge.
