Taquitos
  • 10 small Flour Tortillas Serve as the crispy vessel for the filling.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  2. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to distribute the spices evenly.
  3. Lay a small flour tortilla flat. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower third of the tortilla and roll tightly.
  4. Heat about one inch of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F.
  5. Carefully place the assembled taquitos seam-side down into the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove the taquitos from oil and let them drain on paper towels.
  7. Transfer taquitos to a serving platter and serve with optional toppings.
