Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash cucumbers and carrots under cool running water. Peel the carrots and julienne the cucumbers and carrots into thin ribbons. Place in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together grape seed oil and sesame oil. Add rice vinegar and maple syrup, mixing until blended. Then add soy sauce, ginger powder, white pepper, and salt; whisk until emulsified.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cucumber and carrot ribbons. Toss gently until all ribbons are coated. Let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle with black and white sesame seeds before serving. Toss again for even distribution and enjoy chilled.
