Preparation Steps
- Gather six clear cups and arrange them on a sturdy tray for easy handling.
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Pour it over the blue jello packet in a mixing bowl, stir until dissolved, then let cool.
- Distribute the blue jello mixture into the cups, filling each about one-third full. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes until set.
- In the same saucepan, bring another cup of water to a boil, dissolve the unflavored gelatin, then mix in sweetened condensed milk.
- Allow the white mixture to cool slightly, then pour it over the set blue jello. Refrigerate for another 20 minutes.
- Boil 1 cup of water for the red layer, stir over the red jello packet, let cool, then pour over the white layer.
- Chill the cups for 1 to 2 hours, or until the red layer is completely set.
- Top each cup with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry before serving.
