Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1/4 cup of mashed overripe banana, 1/4 cup of melted butter or vegetable oil, and 1/2 cup of light brown sugar. Mix until fully blended.
  2. Stir in one egg yolk and one teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to your mixture. Blend until well combined.
  3. Gradually add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Gently fold until no streaks of flour remain.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
